The Manufacture royale de porcelaine de Sèvres is one of the most important European manufactories for the production of porcelain and was founded by Madame de Pompadour. It has been based in Sèvres, on the border to Paris, since 1756.

I was commissioned by the manufactory to document the marvellous workshops and the craftsmanship of the artisans in photographs.
