Hors Norme

Wohnrevue Magazine

The "Hors Norme" series shows extraordinary design objects from Reto Andri's collection. It was created on the initiative of Rik Bovens, editor of Wohnrevue magazine, and was published as a monthly column in text and images.

In order to portray the unique objects in an appropriate setting, we developed a concept for strong individual images together:
The aim of this was to show the object and its peculiarities from several angles simultaneously in one shot.

The appeal of the photographic realisation was ultimately not to achieve this using digital montages, but to create it in a single shot.

In the end, we achieved this using analogue multiple exposures in the studio:
in tailor-made set designs, the objects were repositioned several times based on previous study, resulting in the exciting graphic overlaps.
