Patches of Inspiration
Project
While working with designers in recent years, I have often asked myself where the inspiration of creative people comes from.
What objects have they used in their careers, what colours, shapes and materials are part of their world? Which key pieces have had a lasting influence on their work, which designers have inspired them as role models?
With this question in mind, I started a long-term project a few years ago.
Therefore I visited various creatives, artists, fashion designers, stylists, designers and illustrators in their studios and photographed them.
The result is a series of double portraits:
A picture full of objects, materials and inspirations on an area of 1 x 1.50 metres. And a portrait of the designer themselves.
All images were photographed with the available daylight.
